The primary course of care in our office will be specific chiropractic adjustments. Sometimes we may use our hands to physically move spinal bones to their proper motion and position. We may also use hand held instrument, special chiropractic tables or pelvic blocks designed for other specific corrective procedures. Because of our vastly holisitc approach, we incorporate a variety of chiropractic techniques depending on our patients specific case and goals. The following is a brief description of some of the techniques we incorporate as well as their potential uses to help restore body balance. Please note that although all techniques are useful depending on a patient's individual needs, cases involving insurance coverage for these services will vary depending on the individual benefits. Please call the office for more details. Physical Therapy and Home care recommendationsPhysical therapy techniques are often necessary to help restore body function. Certain injuries may require modalities such as: balance balls, wobble boards, electrical muscle stimulation, etc. in order to help re-educate muscles to their proper balance and position. Home care recommendations will also be provided since most on-going care occurs outside of the office. Stretching and trigger point therapiesMaintaining proper core stability to certain muscles is important to ensure long lasting results. By incorporating a specific technique called post isometric relaxation (PIR) in combination with a trigger point technique called myo-fascial release technique (MRT) we help in making sure that muscles reach optimal length and flexability. Diversified chiropractic adjustmentsDiversified technique (DT) is the most commonly used adjustment techniques by chiropractors. Like many chiropractic and osteopathic manipulative techniques, Diversified is characterized by a high velocity low amplitude thrust. Diversified is considered the most generic chiropractic manipulative technique and is differentiated from other techniques in that its objective is to restore proper movement and alignment of spine and joint dysfunction. Applied Kinesiology (AK):AK utilizes the bodies muscle function as a tool to help determine what the body needs. Utilizing this technique enables us to find out where the cause of the problem is as well as which approaches (accupressure, cranial sacral therapy, nutrition therapy, etc.) would be most appropriate for that patient. Total Body Modification (TBM):TBM utilizes the techniques used by the old time chiropractic masters to bring about the restoration of health and self regeneration inherent in the human body. It has been proven to be very useful for addressing allergy desensitization and seriously chronic conditions. By using energetic and soft tissue corrections, the techniques of TBM help re-align the body balance so the body can bring about healing. Neuro Emotional Technique (NET):NET addresses the issues of how a persons emotional health can impact their body. When the body fails to let go of issues such as fear, anger, grief, and many others, patients can often find themselves having self-sabotaging behaviors and many chronic physical problems. The techniques of NET help to identify and let go of these "stuck" emotional patterns. Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique (BEST):BEST deals with integrating balance to the body/mind/memory/soul energy fields. Obviously the body is more than just a sum of parts. There is expression in these parts which brings about the expression of life. When these energy fields fall out of balance, the body expresses itself through symptoms potentially leading to a deterioration in health. The techniques of BEST help maintain this intricate balance and also incorporates workable measures the patient can use at home to determine when these imbalances occur and strategies to address them. |
