December has always been a time to celebrate and rightfully so. We at IHD also see I as an opportune time to prepare: yourself, your mind and spirit for the upcoming New Year. Here are some suggestions to ending the year strong and warming up for the upcoming year (“The Race of Life is won in the preparation”).
Clean up for your office: Go through your present client files and set aside the files that are inactive. Clean out your storage area. Throw away the old stuff that is no longer useful and re-organize to put out a message to the universe that you are ready. Create a vacuum to fill this new space with growth in the upcoming New Year.
Set specific goals: Align with your team or family to set specific goals. What do theses goals mean to you? What would you need to focus on? What sacrifices need to be made? What are you willing to leave behind to accomplish what you say you will? (“In order for things to change, we have to change first”).
Set specific health goals: What are your health goals for this coming year? (Ex. walking with your kids without pain, playing tennis again, increase strength of your lower back, improve posture, increase energy/endurance/strength/immune function, lose weight, start an exercise routine, become more peaceful and not have stress impact you so negatively). What are the 2 - 3 most important health goals that will make the next year even better?
Celebrate: Celebrate your accomplishments for this past year. Allow your self image to grow as you review and journal your thoughts. Finish off the year strong so you can hit the ground running in the New Year.
Our Greatest Wish for you is to keep you Happy and Healthy throughout the best parts of your life. We hope that you will wish the same for us by spreading this message of wellness in health and chiropractic to those who you feel would benefit from it.
