Is your medical doctor recommending hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to relieve your hot flashes, weight problems, or lack of libido?
Before beginning HRT, at IHD we would like you to consider this…
Conventional estrogen replacement therapy with Premarin and synthetic progestins have been shown to have dangerous side effects. Studies in 002 revealed that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) with estrogen-progestin drugs actually showed an increase in occurrence of coronary artery disease, breast cancer, endometrial cancers and strokes.
After these studies were unleashed to the public, drugs like Premarin were temporarily pulled off the shelves because of the potential harm that it could cause. It was interesting to see that when these drugs were pulled off (between 2002-2003) the incidence of breast cancer plummeted sharply. Researchers found that as many as 14,000 fewer women were diagnosed with breast cancer that year. OHU this week does a great job at documenting the details since following the 2002 studies.
For women experiencing hormonal issues or those with their ovaries removed, balancing the hormones is crucial to health and wellbeing. Looking at natural alternatives to synthetic hormone replacement should be considered. Detoxification programs have also been shown to be useful to help alleviate symptoms like hot flashes, headaches, weight gain and a host of other problems.
If you want to find out how these programs work and whether it could help you, then you won’t want to miss out on our workshop on “How to Thrive in a Toxic World” on Saturday, February 17th from 10:00AM-11:30AM. If you are interested in attending, register here or call the office, (858)558-0057, to RSVP.
