A Great Process To Get You Past Your Emotional Blocks

Emotional BlocksThe thoughts we choose to put into our heads from day to day play a vital role in our physical health.  Many studies show how our emotional state can affect our immunity or resistance to disease.  In fact, thoughts have been shown to play a significant effect on physical abnormalities such as ulcers, indigestion, nervousness, and even high blood pressure.  Although it is near impossible to completely CONTROL all your thoughts, here is a 3 step process that can help you DIRECT your thoughts to serve you instead of becoming a slave to them.

The 3 R’s:

1)Recognize:  Awareness is the first lynch pin to developing a more empowering belief system.  By recognizing your negative habitual patterns of thinking, you impart it to your consciousness that you are actively choosing to attack this specific limiting thought.

2)Reject:  Once you’ve chosen the non-serving thought to attack, you must train yourself to reject this limiting way of thinking.  In essence, you must realize that this way of thinking is not true to who you really are at your core.  Meditation is a great way of quieting the mind so that you can recognize your true self.  Once you become a master at knowing yourself, letting go of negativity will become effortless (for more information on great meditation programs we recommend, check out the link http://www.evogel.net/)

3)Replace:  This part of the process can get a little tricky.  Choosing a pattern of thinking that serves you is the key to lasting success.  However, we would suggest that you choose a pattern of thinking that you will be able to follow through on.  Merely picking a positive way of thinking will not work if you do not truly believe that this new way of thinking is achievable.  Verbal affirmations are a great way to imprint new patterns of thinking into our conscious and subconscious mind.  To find out specific strategies to implementing affirmations, tune in next week.

By implementing this 3 step process, you can build a foundation for lasting change.  To make this exercise even more powerful, try carrying around a note pad in your pocket and actually writing down the thoughts that are limiting you and the new thoughts or action steps that you will take.  If you want lasting change, sincerely give this exercise a try this week and e-mail us the changes or challenges that you experience.
