How the Brain Helps Coordinate the Healing Process

Tag: Brain, Immune System, Nervous System
Jun 17th, 2008

brain controlWe now know that the human body is self healing by design. In this health tip we will take a look at how the body controls and coordinates the healing process. Fully understanding the depth of this process enables us to gain a greater appreciation of the extraordinary forces at work with the body’s natural healing potential.

Using the example of someone who has cut their finger, we can say with certainty that the body’s immune system will be at work to help fight off infection in the affected area. At the same time, the digestive system will work at assimilating essential nutrients to shape new cells and the endocrine system will be utilizing different organs ranging from the liver to the adrenals to ward off inflammation and keep the body functioning properly during the healing process. It is important to understand that although these processes may be occurring simultaneously within the body, the brain is continuously and accurately organizing messages to the various parts of the body to ensure that the healing process takes place with accuracy and ease.

The brain really is the control center of the body that generates all the life energy needed in order to keep us functioning and alive making it the most important organ in the body. Just as electricity travels over electoral wires, the body’s life energy travels over the nervous system. Energy flows from the brain, down the spinal cord and then travels out to the rest of the body by way of the spinal nerves. When a body is deprived of the life energy that the brain generates, it results in the death of the body. Likewise, if a part of the body is deprived of its life energy, that part would likely die. Likewise, a decreased amount of life energy to the various parts of the body will often cause them to be weaker than normal, more easily subject to breakdown and they will not function 100% the way they should.

Next week we will explore the various ways we can ensure that the brain is efficiently sending out accurate signals to the rest of the body.
